Intrigued by the fact, red, yellow and blue provide all one needs to capture early spring greens, moody November skies, reflective windows or crisp snow, Holland, New York artist, Deborah Radford, presents these beautiful colors in her paintings.
Together with her husband James, the couple has two married children and four active grandchildren. When not painting she enjoys traveling, walking, kayaking and reading.
The artist was raised in Hamburg, New York and attended Sheridan College of Visual Arts in Oakville, Ontario in Canada. Deborah has been employed as a graphic artist, commercial designer and later worked in education at Holland Central Schools.
Deborah has studied under artists Deborah Richter, Denise Sperry, Margaret Martin and Kathleen Giles.
Current memberships include East Aurora Art Society, signature member of Niagara Frontier Watercolor Society, Springville Center for the Arts, and Tuesday Painters. Former membership includes Charles Burchfield Gallery.
Deborah has exhibited at the Roycroft Summer Arts Festival and has placed 2nd consecutively in 2014 (Artemis & Lu) and 2015 (Miss Martin's Glass), in the watercolor division.
